About Us

With over 20 years of experience as a former Camp Director at Fairmont Summer Programs and the Ziggurat Summer Camp, Jonna joined Camp Izza in 2018. Her extensive background in child development and genuine love for working with children make her a tremendous asset to the Camp Izza team. Jonna holds a degree in Child Development from Fullerton College as well as a degree in Psychology from Grand Canyon University. She looks forward to summer all year long—because it means camp season is here. Jonna believes camp is about making friends, trying new activities, playing games, having fun, smiling, laughing, and creating lasting memories. 

With over 25 years of education experience working as a teacher, principal, and administrator, Omar believes summer camp is the best time for children to grow and connect with others beyond the classroom. His life-long dream was to create a camp based on his years of camp experience that would be fun and engaging for children. He believes camp is designed for a wide range of interests and welcomes all campers to explore their interests in a safe and nurturing environment.
